Vista Del Mar Set to Break Ground in March

Vista Del Mar, the 64-unit luxury condominium development on Perdido Key is on schedule to break ground in March, according to Michael McNeil, partner and CEO of JGM Development Company in Destin, Fla.
“We currently have a development order from Escambia County and have already submitted for our building permit,” he told CondoOwner in late January. “Based on where we are in the approval process for all necessary permits, we do not anticipate any issues that will affect our March groundbreaking date.”
To be located next to the Gulf Islands National Seashore and designed to offer eight floors of beach-front condominiums, along with several high-end amenities, the project has attracted a lot of interest, McNeil said.
“Since we announced the project last summer, we have enjoyed tremendous sales success,” he said. “In that short time, we pre-sold over 50 of the 64 Vista Del Mar residences. More importantly, we have converted over 85 percent of those pre-sales to hard contracts with 30 percent deposits.”
He added that “Yates Construction, the general contractor, estimates that it will take 16 months to complete the project. So, Vista Del Mar residences will be ready for use by summer 2016.”
In addition to its excellent location, the design aspects of Vista Del Mar have been well received, McNeil said.
“From the outset, we (Meridian Realty Advisors, L.P. land owner/developer, and JGM Development, project manager) have strived to create a place that compliments what we believe is the best location in Perdido Key,” he explained. “With that in mind, we have engaged world-class consultants including the award-winning interior design firm, Wilson Associates, to create what will be one of the most luxurious condominium communities on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Wilson’s design expertise can be seen in the luxuriously appointed lobby, spacious residences and exceptional amenity package.”
